The VIZIO M261VP 26-Inch 1080p LED LCD is a HD television set that I just had to test to see if it was as good as people say it is. And I have to say that I am very delighted with the 26 inch LED backlit feature. Because of the 1920×1080 pixels I am able to enjoy complex color combinations like never before.

Not Big and Bulky

I also was quite happy to see that this TV was not big and bulky like previous HD televisions I have purchased. The VIZIO M261VP has a razor thin profile, which is about 1.34 inches thin, without its stand. This means that television will be easy to transport and easy to store.

Good Clarity and Detail

Clarity and detail are very important as well not only to me, but to any serious TV watcher. This television set has 1080p high definition resolution, which is about 2 million pixels.  This means that you will be able to enjoy crystal-clear pictures that will come to life right in front of you!

Excellent in All Lighting Conditions

One concern I had when reviewing this particular television set was how it would measure up in certain lighting conditions. I tested the television in two different conditions, one being bright and one being dark. The quality of picture didn’t go down at all. I believe this is because of the ambient lighting feature and the energy efficient sensors that auto adjust to brightness in order to keep a picture-perfect regardless of lighting conditions.

Good Sound Quality

Now on to the issue of sound, which I’m sure you are curious to know about. Most HD televisions come with about average sound. That is not the case with Vizio M261VP TV. It has two built-in 5 W speakers which are able to fill an entire room with high-quality sound. OK it is not overbearing, but it is just right. However, if you wish to have really outstanding sound, I recommend to purchase additional high quality sound system.

Any Negatives About Vizio M261VP?

If I had to give one knock about this HDTV I would say it is the Vizio Internet apps feature. The reason why it was a knock for me is because I had a difficult time setting it set up the way I wanted to. However, after a little bit of help from technical support I was able to get the Internet apps feature running smoothly.
